Derek Plansky, Health Gorilla, Mike Cordeiro, MEDITECH, Peter Bak, Humber River Health, Robert Malloy, MEDITECH
This presentation will highlight how a group of Ontario Hospitals took the lead in partnering with the private sector to establish an ambitious new data exchange network that has the potential to connect all participating healthcare organizations across Ontario and eventually Canada through a federated, query-based model. The connection would also close the gap with the more than 300 long-term care organizations across the province to support more seamless care transitions. With a record locator service as the foundation of this new infrastructure, organizations can now look beyond regional exchange by establishing a single connection to all participating organizations, regardless of location or vendor. You’ll hear from the healthcare organization champion and early adopter of this new solution, along with the EHR vendor and interoperability provider that worked to develop it.
